Stunning boutique hotel with an exceptional collection of contemporary art

Situated in the heart of the historic centre of Palma, Mallorca, Sant Francesc Hotel Singular is a stunning boutique hotel with an exceptional collection of contemporary art.

Set within a former Mallorcan mansion, built in 1860 and lovingly restored in 2015, the hotel pays homage to its heritage and original character by retaining stunning original features such as wood-beamed ceilings, covered veranda, stone floors and the original frescos and murals.

The design strikes the perfect balance between old and new whilst showcasing local and international artists throughout the hotel.

The art journey begins at check-in with a masterpiece displayed at the reception desk – a painting created exclusively for the hotel by Spanish artist Josep Maria Riera i Aragó. Josep’s work can be seen in renowned museums around the world such as the Vicent van Gogh foundations and the Museum of Modern Art in Luxembourg.

As visitors make their way through the hotel and into the lobby they will encounter the work of Spanish painter and sculptor Guillem Nadal. Born in Mallorca, Nadal’s work appears in exhibitions and galleries around the world, including the Museums of Modern Art in both Nice and Barcelona.

As guests stroll to their room, the collection continues – they will discover inspiring creations, including work by Catalonian artist Jordi Alcaraz on the first floor and other artists such as Dominica Sánchez, Jordi Alcaráz, Bruno Olle, Miguel Macaya, M.A. Campano, J.M. Broto, A. Alzamora and E. Arbós.

Throughout the hotels 42 elegant rooms and suites, and the public spaces, drawings, paintings, photography and sculpture bring this breath-taking 19th century former Mallorcan mansion to life.

Sant Francesc’s artistic flair is apparent in every corner of the hotel from the displayed artwork to the bespoke, eclectic mix of furniture and furnishings. Pieces have been created by renowned designers including Antonio Citterio, Jaime Hayón, Philippe Starck, Gordon Guillaumier, Stephen Burks, Piero Lissoni, Inma Bermúdez, Davide Groppi and Bernard Schottlander.

Sant Francesc’s location in the heart of Palma allows guests to explore the incredible array of art museums, galleries and studios, located right on their doorstep.
