Open-air night market Chatuchak returns to Singapore

Chatuchak Singapore returns to the red dot as the open-air night market kickstarts from Tuesday, 7 February, to Sunday, 2 April 2023. The market operates from Tuesdays to Sundays from 4.30pm to 10.30pm.

WHAT: The night market invites visitors to explore all manner of handicrafts, art, clothing and indulge in culinary delights from a carefully curated mix of local and Thai exhibitors who are also part of Thailand’s OTOP.

OTOP stands for ‘One Tambon (meaning sub-district) One Product’. The OTOP program aims to support the unique locally made and marketed products from each sub-district all over Thailand and sold domestically and internationally.

The handpicked Thai exhibitors boast a minimum of 3 to 5 stars in terms of food quality. Beer Chang is the official Beer Partner of Chatuchak Singapore Night Market.

Brave the queues and go on a culinary adventure trying out the Thai Hor Fun from a Michelin Star exhibitor to local favourites such as succulent pork leg, claypot vermicelli, kway chap to the colourful looking choob, a miniature fruit-shaped mung bean dessert that is always Instagram worthy.

For friends looking for Muslim-friendly foods, the night market has brought in exhibitors from the Southern part of Thailand. The exhibitors will carry delectable street food from banana roti to Hoi Tord Chumpon, an oyster and mussel omelette to Gai Kratik, Thailand’s version of the well-loved chicken satay, Hatyai Chng Tng dessert and more.

For those who want to up the ante for their socials, you can even rent traditional Thailand chut thai (literally translates to Thai outfit) to complete your experience while you enjoy and soak in the atmosphere of the night market.
