Lunar New Year feast at Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy

Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy, located opposite Parkway Parade Shopping Centre, is introducing a series of traditional takeaways and new additions by Head Chef Victor Lee and Head Chef Lester Wang for the Lunar New Year of the Dog from January 12 to March 4.

A wide selection of home-made takeaways will be available at Jia Wei Chinese Restaurant, including Victor’s new Golden Treasure Barbeque Set that consists of the restaurant’s signature roasted delights and “Buddha Jumps Over The Wall” along with the chef’s signature herbal broth. His variation of Fortune Pot “Pen Cai” is also a traditional favourite during the Lunar New Year.

Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy has also introduced customised set menus which are ideal for reunion dinner gatherings at Jia Wei Chinese Restaurant. They cost from $329 per table of four persons. Look out for signature dishes such as Steamed Barramundi with Chef’s Homemade Green Chilli Sauce, Braised Abalone with Dried Oyster in Golden Bag, Jia Wei Charcoal Grilled Suckling Pig and more creations.

Diners can also customise their own meal through the dedicated Lunar New Year A La Carte set menu, which has over 20 dishes.

The hotel is also hosting a Lunar New Year buffet at [email protected] Buffet Restaurant, where diners can expect to enjoy a mixture of authentic Lunar New Year dishes and Western favourites. There are special prices for Senior and Pioneer Citizens.

Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy is also showcasing hand-made Lunar New Year cookies and pastries by Lester at Wave Cafe. Besides the ever-popular Pineapple Tarts, Lemongrass Cookies and Fragrance Honey Bee Hive, do not miss new creations that include Salted Egg Cookies, Lemon Butter Cookies, Gula Melaka Chiffon Cake and Rainbow Chiffon Cake.

During January and February 2018, enjoy two set meals: Herbal Duck Soup In Claypot With Steamed Rice and Grilled Seabass With Salted Egg Yolk Sauce and Beet Risotto.

The hotel is also introducing a Western themed set menu at $78 per person for Valentine’s Day at breez bistro.bar. The five-course set meal includes a choice between two main courses: Steamed White Pomfret Topped with Otah Paste and Grilled Rack of Lamb with Ratatouille of Vegetables and Rosemary Potatoes.
