Lace up and fly with Hoka

Trouble finding the right pair of running shoes?

I would suggest Hoka, which is light on the feet and knees.

The brand was born in France in 2009 as a high-performance footwear riposte to the then raging barefoot running craze. But since then its “maximal” running shoes have become famous for their engorged silhouette thanks to stabilising oversized outsoles designed to suit all terrains, from road to trail routes.

What sets Hoka’s shoes apart is three key aspects:

Proprietary PROFLY™+ Technology: Designed to be 50% thicker than the average running shoe, with marshmallow-soft and lightweight cushioned foam that offers shock absorption in every step, along with full comfort and support.

Meta-Rocker: Its low heel-to-toe drop and sculpted outsole creates a fulcrum effect – think of it as wheels for feet, which encourages a guided and natural gait that propels wearers forward from impact to toe-off, perfect for leisurely strolls or even competitive races.

Active Foot Frame: Cradles the wearer’s foot, securing the heel in place and keeping the shoe snug, allowing for integrated stability and ultimate support.

On September 20, Hoka launched its first global campaign, Fly Human Fly, in Singapore. It is a campaign to encourage consumers to meet Hoka at the starting point and take flight to new heights – together.

It also introduced two new shoes, the Mach 5 and Bondi 8.

The Mach 5, priced at S$229,is a race-ready, Performance-driven running shoe.

Sporting an upgraded upper with an engineered mesh material to deliver ultralight breathable comfort for races and everyday runs, the Mach 5 has a heel collar that maintains its form while providing a streamlined fit for the wearer.

Plus, it comes in 8 eye-catching colours for both men and women – including Radiant Yellow, Evening Primrose, Camellia and Peach Parfait.

For those who are looking for maximum comfort, the Bondi 8 offers maximal cushion with its extended heel that has billowed grooves.

Constructed with the same PROFLY™+ technology as Mach 5 to allow smoother strides, Bondi 8 is also made with sustainable recycled materials and sports a more precise internal collar foam for enhanced comfort.

Bondi 8, which costs S$249, comes in 2 summery colours: Goblin Blue/Mountain Spring and Summer Song/Country Air.

Mach 5 and Bondi 8 are both available at the Hoka Brand Store at Level 4 Takashimaya Sports Central and all Running Lab outlets in Singapore.

Hoka’s Fly Human Fly campaign will continue till December. It will involve a series of exciting shoe launches and events for the public to enjoy, including an interactive booth experience.
