Tiffin Room’s vibrant Diwali Experience

Celebrate Diwali, the joyous festival of lights, with tantalisingly rich North Indian flavours amid the grandeur of Tiffin Room at the historic Raffles Hotel, an iconic institution since 1892.

From 21 October to 7 November 2021, guests can delight in exceptional new culinary creations presented alongside festive specialty sweets as part of a specially curated Diwali Experience menu prepared by award-winning Chef Kuldeep Negi.

A beautiful Mithai gift box containing handcrafted sweets in five delightful flavours is also available to share the joy and goodwill with cherished business associates and family and friends this festive season.

A Vibrant Diwali Dining Experience

The Diwali Experience at Tiffin Room begins with a classic appetiser of Golgappa Shots.

These deep-fried stuffed crispy bread complemented with mint, mango with sweet tamarind and yogurt will evoke the nostalgia and celebratory spirit of the season.

Next enjoy the Tandoori Lobster, succulent Tandoori-grilled lobster served with onion fritters and mint chutney, or the Chukander Gucchi Tikki, a crispy beetroot and morel mushroom cutlet for guests who opt for the vegetarian version of the menu.

Relish delightful main courses prepared masterfully and presented in the iconic tiffin box, including Nariyali Gosht Chaap, juicy lamb chops accompanied with rich coconut and piquant mustard seed curry; Doi Mach, fork-tender and flavourful barramundi enlivened with yogurt and spices; Sarson Da Murgh, delectable boneless chicken leg presented in a mustard leaf gravy; and Kheema Pulao, premium Indian basmati rice cooked with minced lamb and delicately perfumed with rose water and saffron.

The Diwali Vegetarian Experience menu offers equally splendid dishes, including Lauki Kofta, bottle gourd dumplings in a creamy almond and cashew nut gravy and Sarson Da Paneer, Indian cottage cheese served in a mustard leaf gravy. Freshly-made Garlic Naan and aromatic Carom Seed Laccha Parantha form the perfect foil to the richness and gentle heat of these robust main courses.

The joy of Diwali is incomplete without rounding off the meal with charming sweet treats such as traditional Petha Kheer with Mango Rabdi, a luscious dish of ash gourd with mango in a silky milk and saffron cream pudding, and Mithai, handmade specialty sweets of cashew nut and yellow lentil.
