Jewel Changi Airport blooms into a floral wonderland with LEGO® Botanicals

Jewel Changi Airport has transformed into a colourful floral fantasy with the launch of “Celebrate Jewel Blooms with LEGO Botanicals”, an immersive showcase featuring about 800,000 LEGO bricks and the largest LEGO Botanicals display ever staged in a mall in Southeast Asia.

The limited-time showcase, which opened on May 26, reimagines the iconic airport lifestyle destination with towering floral centrepieces, interactive displays, whimsical garden installations and fashion creations inspired by LEGO Botanicals.

The event, which runs across multiple spaces within Jewel until Aug 30, promises an engaging experience for LEGO fans, families, tourists and photography enthusiasts alike.

At the centre of the attraction are giant floral installations at Jewel Forest Valley, where two towering LEGO roses, each standing two metres high, rise dramatically against the backdrop of the famous Rain Vortex. Carefully assembled using thousands of LEGO bricks, the floral centrepieces instantly draw visitors into a vivid botanical world that blends nature with creative play.

Adding to the cheerful atmosphere are playful LEGO Botanicals Happy Plants and Rocking Plants displays positioned around the lush indoor greenery. The colourful installations seamlessly merge with Jewel’s forest-themed environment, giving visitors the feeling of walking through a fantasy garden built entirely from imagination and bricks.

The celebrations extend to Canopy Park on Level 5, where visitors are invited to embark on a “Gardens of the World” experience inspired by the LEGO Icons collection. The attraction transforms the park into a global horticultural trail showcasing garden themes from different cultures and landscapes.

One of the highlights is a Japanese-inspired zen garden modelled after the LEGO Icons 10315 Tranquil Garden set. Located near the Source Pool, the installation features a traditional Japanese house, koi fish, water lilies and serene landscaping recreated using LEGO bricks. The tranquil setting offers visitors a calming retreat amid the bustling airport attraction.

Elsewhere, the Foggy Bowls area has been redesigned into a Mediterranean-style floral landscape inspired by the LEGO Icons 10359 Fountain Garden set. Sunflowers, tulips and vine-covered pergolas bring warmth and colour to the attraction while showcasing the intricate detail possible through LEGO building.

The final stop along the trail takes visitors to Petal Garden, where an English countryside-inspired setting recreates the charm of the LEGO Icons Autumn Cottage Garden set. Complete with a cosy cottage and whimsical mushroom house, the display evokes the warmth and romance of a countryside retreat.

Ms Lee Ching Wern, Chief Executive Officer of Jewel Changi Airport, said the showcase reflects Jewel’s efforts to create distinctive visitor experiences by combining creativity, nature and immersive storytelling.

“We are delighted to debut Southeast Asia’s largest LEGO Botanicals showcase here at Jewel,” she said. “This collaboration reflects Jewel’s ongoing efforts to create distinctive experiences to delight visitors. By reinterpreting Jewel’s iconic indoor environment through the creative lens of LEGO, we are offering visitors a fresh and inspiring way to experience familiar spaces.”

She added that Canopy Park had been transformed into “a playful and vibrant wonderland” through the use of LEGO signature bricks and immersive installations.

The LEGO Group said the activation was designed to encourage people to slow down, explore and connect through creativity.

Ms Nina Patricia Da Costa, General Manager for Singapore, Malaysia and Travel Retail APAC at the LEGO Group, said the collaboration aimed to blend Jewel’s strong connection to nature with the mindful and tactile experience of LEGO building.

“At the LEGO Group, we believe play has the power to spark creativity, foster connection and inspire imagination across generations,” she said.

The showcase also features a unique fashion element created in collaboration with the Singapore Fashion Council. Singapore-based designers including Joanna Lim, Sabrina Goh, Kha Ngo, Bhajinder Kaur, Clara Simanjuntak, Horas Napitupulu and Sylvia Lim unveiled bespoke runway looks inspired by LEGO Botanicals during the opening celebrations.

The designs reinterpret floral themes through wearable art pieces that incorporate LEGO elements into sculptural fashion creations. Following their runway debut, the fashion pieces will remain on display at Jewel for visitors to view.

Beyond the installations, visitors can participate in a LEGO-themed stamp rally running across seven locations in Jewel, including Canopy Park. Participants who complete the rally can redeem a special souvenir at the LEGO pop-up store located at Basement 1, while stocks last.

The pop-up store offers a wide selection of LEGO merchandise and exclusive displays, allowing shoppers to continue their LEGO experience after exploring the installations. Giant LEGO builds and themed photo opportunities are also available within the retail space.

To coincide with the event, Jewel has introduced a series of shopping promotions. UOB cardholders can redeem a S$10 Jewel Gift Voucher with a minimum spend of S$150. Shoppers who spend at least S$60 can also purchase exclusive LEGO-themed premiums such as Brick Sling Bags, Brick Mugs, Minifig Pouches and Travel Organisers.

Canopy Park visitors can additionally enjoy discounts on the Double Nets Bundle during the June school holidays, while selected visitors can redeem discounted ice cream offers from Monarchs & Milkweed.

Designed by renowned architect Moshe Safdie, Jewel Changi Airport has become one of Singapore’s most recognisable lifestyle and tourism destinations since its opening. The latest LEGO Botanicals collaboration adds another immersive attraction to its growing list of experiential showcases aimed at both local visitors and international travellers.
